Israel moves closer to banning the fur trade

On 24 February, the bill to ban the commercial fur trade in Israel was again discussed in the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament).

On Sunday 7 February 2010 the Ministerial Committee on Law & Constitution in Israel voted to ban the import and export of all fur, except that designated for religious or traditional use.

On 30 December 2009 the winners of the DAF 2009 interntational animation competition were announced. The competition is organised in the UK by Respect for Animals and is run globally by the Fur Free Alliance.
The winners are:
1st Place: Liu Xiaofu, China
2nd Place: Casper Christensen, Denmark
3rd Place: Daniel Clark, UK
