The new regulations give Trading Standards the authority to investigate, seize and forfeit such goods.

Thankfully, no cat or dog fur has been found on sale in the UK but the UK isd an important trading post for the fur trade so these products were undoubtedly entering and leaving the country.  Cat and dog fur has been found on sale in other EU countries in products ranging from soft toys to fur trims on boots and jackets. This legislation is very important and warmly received by all those who have campaigned hard for it.
